How To Create More Effective Conversations and Communication
Using research-based best practices and drawing on the principles of improvisation, this workshop will teach your team to listen, reflect, tune into each other’s needs, and collaborate, creating a culture of connectivity, high performance, and smooth operations.
The world we live in is the very nature of improv. There is no script. We never know what’s going to happen from moment to moment, how a client or colleague will change directions, how someone might behave in unexpected ways. The principles and skills taught through improv – like “yes, and…”, make your partner look good, active listening, creativity, acceptance, and storytelling – are just a few of the tenets that align so perfectly to our lives in business.
The ability to dive into the unknown, take risks, and think on your feet can only lead to improved overall performance and effectiveness at work.
In this highly experiential and transformative session, you will be introduced to the principles of improvisation and how, when applied, it creates more effective conversations and communication. You will have the opportunity to practice skills and learn from each other in a safe, non-threatening environment. You will be guided through a series of fun interactive exercises followed by discussions to lock in the learning. Each exercise allows for self-discovery and building new skills, always working towards the overall objective of the program.
