Managing Change

Mastering a Key Leadership Competency

Managing change is a critical yet sometimes under-appreciated skill for leaders of today.

Most organizational change either fails, takes longer than anticipated, is more costly than projected, or simply does not get adopted by the end-user population. Significantly, these failures are not due to the project itself, but the lack of a systemic and thoughtful change management methodology within the organization. With a proper change structure and with well-informed change roles in place, we can increase the likelihood of success and diminish active resistance and faulty communication.

At this workshop, you will learn how individuals respond to and process change, and how to incorporate this understanding and insight into an organizational change management methodology. Where most courses on change management focus on either the individual or the organization, this unique two-day offering will integrate the two, providing you with the best information and insights on successful organizational change.

Through interactive case studies and group discussion, you’ll discover how you respond to change and how the brain works for us, and against us, as we adapt to both internally- and externally-imposed changes. We will also discuss “good” changes and “bad” changes, as well as how we can succeed at change, even if we don’t like the change that is being imposed. Ultimately, we will practice, practice, practice and there will be ample opportunity for discussion, sharing and questioning.

This two-day, hands-on practical course is led by a Leadership Training expert with over 20 years’ experience facilitating workshops, running educational courses, and giving talks on change and change management, notably from a new and inspired positive psychology perspective.

This workshop is offered within organizations for groups of 5 people or more.
