Interpersonal Relations at Work: Being Radically Human

“That which we are unaware of controls me. That which I am aware of I can control. Awareness empowers me.” -Sir John Whitmore

Why is it that, in spite of our best intentions, communications between co-workers, managers, clients, or even suppliers can go off the rails? Interpersonal communications is complex and interactions with people can run the gamut from smooth and positive to annoying and prickly.

This program makes the invisible visible in the world of human dynamics. By understanding what is going on at a subconscious level, both when things are going well as well as when they aren’t, we can develop helpful strategies for increasing the moments of positivity and lowering the moments of defensiveness both in ourselves and in others.

The program combines models, self assessments, tips, tools, insights and powerful strategies in order to educate and arm you with better approaches to all of your interactions.

Through a combination of theory, discussion, exercises, real life application and coaching, we will help you develop skills that will turn your interactions into radically human experiences.

Duration:

The program consists of five 3.5 hour modules that build on each other. The time frame allows for real life practice of foundational skills building up to dealing with difficult or sensitive conversations and situations.

This program is a foundational course and can be combined with “Working Better Together: The Great Team Myth” and “Understanding Change and Transition: Helping You and Your Team During Change” to form “Creating a Healthy, Vibrant and Radically Human Workplace.”

Modules 2 – 5 include Action Learning and Coaching where we “clinic” in our small group, bringing examples of what was tried from the last module, what happened, successes and challenges, etc. bringing it to a very practical level.

This workshop is offered within organizations for groups of 5 people or more.
