About PMC Training
Who We Are
PMC Training provides facilitator-led workplace skills courses for individuals and teams.
Founded in 1982, PMC Training is locally owned in Ottawa and serves clients across Canada and beyond. Our courses are live, focused, and connected to the workplace situations people deal with every day.
Individuals can join our open-enrolment courses live online or in person, and organizations can bring our courses to their teams. We bring the stability of a long-standing training company with the personal attention of a locally owned business.

What We Believe About Training
Training should connect clearly to the work people are expected to do after the course.
That belief shapes how we design, deliver, and support our courses. We start with the workplace outcome an organization wants to strengthen. Then we work backwards to identify the skills, behaviours, and real work moments that support that outcome.
We call this design standard Built For Next Tuesday .
It’s the test we use to keep every course connected to the work it is meant to improve. You can learn more about Built For Next Tuesday on our Learning Methodology page.
Who We Help
PMC Training works with public sector, private sector, and non-profit organizations. Our clients vary in size, structure, and goals, but they often need the same things from training.
What It’s Like to Work With Us
We are responsive, straightforward, and easy to work with from first contact through registration and delivery.
We ask useful questions so we can recommend the right course, format, or team training option. Then we follow up with clear information you can use to decide, share internally, or move forward.
If we’re not the right fit, we’ll be honest about that too. When we can, we’ll point you toward a better option.
The People Behind PMC Training
PMC Training is led by David and Terri, a husband-and-wife ownership team who joined the business in 2021. They came to PMC from outside the traditional training industry, but once you meet them, it’s easy to understand why this work fits.
That care you find in a family business is carried through by the PMC team, who coordinate the details, support clients and participants, and help each course run smoothly before, during, and after delivery.
Our facilitators bring strong subject knowledge, real workplace context, and credibility to each course. Their experience means they know how to read the room, guide useful and inclusive discussion, and connect the material to situations participants actually face at work.
What Guides Us
Our values guide how we work with clients, participants, facilitators, suppliers, partners, and each other.
Curiosity
means we ask good questions, stay open to better ways of working, and keep learning from the people and organizations around us.
Inclusiveness
means we aim to create respectful spaces where people feel welcome, heard, and able to contribute.
Engagement
means we show up with care, attention, and follow-through because our work affects other people’s time, trust, and results.
Humour
means we make room for warmth and personality. Work is serious enough. Learning can still feel human.
