Working with PMC
We offer instructor-led business skills training for individuals and teams.
Our courses focus on skills people can use in real work situations, including communication, leadership, project management, and personal effectiveness.
Training is available through open enrollment courses and team training for organizations.
A good place to start is by thinking about the skill or challenge you or your team want to address right now.
From there, you can explore our course catalogue to browse topics and use filters to narrow options based on your interests. You can also view our training calendar to see upcoming open enrollment courses and dates.
You’re always welcome to reach out to our team if you’d like to talk it through. We can help you choose a course that fits your goals, role, or team needs.
Our courses are designed for working professionals and teams across a range of roles and sectors, including public sector, non-profit, and private organizations.
Participants typically include early-career professionals building core skills, experienced staff strengthening their effectiveness, and leaders looking to improve how they communicate, manage, and support others.

If accessibility accommodations are required, we encourage you to reach out to our team in advance so we can work together to support participation.
Course descriptions include the intended audience under Who Should Attend This Course, along with any prerequisites, to help guide selection.
If there’s uncertainty or a desire to talk it through, our team is available to discuss the course and help confirm whether it’s a good fit.
We work with clients across Canada and the United States.
While we’re based in Ottawa, our courses can be delivered virtually and in person across Canada.
Open Enrollment training (also known as public training) consists of scheduled courses that individuals can register for directly.
These courses bring together participants from different organizations and are delivered on set dates, either virtually or in person.
Open enrollment is a good option for individuals looking to build specific skills or when organizations want flexibility in timing and participation.
Team training (also known as private or in-house training) is delivered exclusively for your organization.
Courses can be tailored to your context, priorities, and audience, and scheduled at times that work for your team.
This option is well suited for teams who want a shared learning experience or organizations looking to align training with specific goals or challenges.
Open enrollment is a good fit when training is intended to support individual skill development, when participants will benefit from learning alongside peers from other organizations, or when flexibility in scheduling is important.
Team training is typically a better option when a shared learning experience is important, when training needs to reflect organizational context, when training a larger number of individuals, or when alignment across a team or group is a priority.
Our courses typically range from half-day to three-day durations.
You’ll find the duration listed on each course page, and you can also filter by length in our course catalogue or open enrollment calendar.

PMC courses are designed to be interactive and human-led.
Learning is supported through discussion, guided conversation, and applied activities rather than lecture-only delivery or self-paced content.
Facilitators encourage participation, invite questions, and use examples to connect course content to real work situations.
Whether delivered virtually or in person, courses are designed around people learning together, not just content, materials, or technology.
PMC courses are designed to support learning that carries into real work.
Facilitators bring practical experience and guide learning through discussion and examples that reflect the situations participants deal with in their roles.
Courses balance new concepts with time to pause, test ideas, and learn from others. The focus stays on helping people develop ways of thinking they can apply in real situations.
Participants receive a certificate of completion that includes the course title and total instructional hours.
Many people use this as proof of participation, but whether it counts for formal continuing education or professional development credits depends on your accrediting body. We recommend confirming eligibility directly with them.
