Setting Up a Project

  • Title, goal, timeframe, manager and budget
  • Scheduling method, start and finish fate
  • Date format
  • Base calendar
  • Working hours and marking holidays

Creating the Task List

  • Enter tasks and durations in a logical order in the Gantt Chart View
  • Display project summary task
  • Show outline number

Creating the Resources List

  • Enter resources, type and other fields
  • Create resources calendars
  • Assign all resources to the task

Linking Tasks

  • Link all tasks and adjust predecessor codes
  • Adjust lag and lead
  • Address over allocation

Adjusting the Schedule

  • Set up constraints, deadlines or notes
  • Display the critical path
  • Changing task type settings

Tracking the Project

  • Saving the baseline when scheduling and planning are complete
  • Tracking task progress and updating tasks
  • Comparing actual data and baseline
